Our Consett shop brings together board games, card games, tabletop gaming, puzzles, accessories and much more — all under one roof.
Whether you’re an experienced gamer, completely new to tabletop gaming, looking for something for the family, or simply searching for your next great game, come and see what we’ve got.
More than just a shop
Farplace Games isn’t just somewhere to come in and buy a game.
We have a play space where you can sit down and play games, meet up with friends or try something new. Whether you already know exactly what you want to play or you’re looking for something different, you’re welcome to come in and spend some time with us.
You can also grab a coffee, have a chat and catch up with friends. We want Farplace Games to be somewhere people can relax, have fun and enjoy spending time together.
Whether you’re a keen gamer, someone who enjoys the occasional game with friends and family, or you’ve never played a board game before, everyone is welcome.
A welcoming community
One of the things we’re most proud of about the store is our fantastic group of volunteers.
They’re a friendly and welcoming group who share our passion for games and help make the store the kind of place we wanted it to be.
We’re passionate about gaming, and we want Farplace Games to be somewhere people can share that passion with others. From chatting about your favourite games to sitting down for a game with friends, we’re building a community around something we love.
Helping Farplace Animal Rescue
One of the most important things about Farplace Games is why we do it.
Farplace Games is part of the wider Farplace Animal Rescue organisation, giving us a way to combine our love of games with our passion for helping animals.
All profits from Farplace Games go towards supporting Farplace Animal Rescue and the animals in their care.
So when you buy a game, grab a coffee or pick up something else from the store, you’re helping support the rescue and the animals that need our care.
For us, that’s what Farplace Games is all about — sharing our love of games while doing something good for animals at the same time.
What’s in the store?
Our range is always growing, but you’ll find a mixture of games and other things to enjoy, including board games, card games, tabletop gaming, puzzles and jigsaws, gaming accessories, and our own Farplace Games.
We also have drinks available, so you can grab a coffee while you’re visiting and take a break from the gaming.
There’s always something new to discover, so pop in and see what’s on the shelves.
