Farplace Games was created with a simple idea: bring people together through great games while helping support animal rescue. Every game we sell contributes towards the work of Farplace Animal Rescue, helping provide care and a better future for animals in need.
Our Consett store is a place for anyone who loves games — whether you’re a lifelong tabletop gamer, completely new to the hobby, or simply looking for something fun to play with family and friends.
Inside the store you’ll find a growing selection of board games, card games, puzzles, tabletop games and gaming accessories, with something for all ages and experience levels. From quick games that can be played in a few minutes to bigger strategy games that can keep you entertained for hours, we’re always looking for new and exciting games to add to our shelves.
But Farplace Games is about more than simply selling games.
We want the store to become a community space for gamers in Consett and the surrounding area — somewhere you can discover new games, find your next favourite title, meet other gamers and get advice from people who genuinely love the hobby.
We also take Farplace Games on the road, attending gaming events and conventions across the UK and beyond. These events give us the chance to meet other gamers, introduce people to our games and grow the Farplace Games community.
And, of course, there’s a bigger reason behind everything we do.

Farplace Games is part of the wider Farplace Animal Rescue family, with the games business helping to create another source of income for the rescue. The charity uses its income to support animals in its care and continue its rescue work.
